I Spoke Too Soon!

No sooner than I blogged about taking a nap... let's just say that that was NOT happening!! Last night Robert was in a lot of pain and kept saying his leg felt swollen inside his cast. I even called his doctor at one point. I talked to the doctor on call instead, and he advised that Robert should prop his foot as high as he could get it, and if his pain pills weren't working he'd have to go to the ER for pain management. Robert woke me around 1 a.m. and told me he thought he needed to go to the emergency room, so off we went. The place was packed with people with the flu and small children with all sorts of illnesses, and we waited... and waited... and waited... until 7:00 this morning before he saw a doctor! He ended up cutting off the cast and puttng R in a post-op boot instead, and it has helped a lot. We'll see what Dr. Morgan says when R sees him on Tuesday. Meanwhile, it's bedtime for me pretty soon!

Ankle Surgery

Robert had surgery on his left ankle yesterday to repair torn tendons and ligaments. He's got a big cast and crutches... no weight bearing on that foot for four weeks! It was a rough night, with him getting up several times for pain pills and just because he couldn't sleep, which keeps me awake too. He's taking a nap now, and I'm thinking I should be doing the same thing!

The Very Beginning

Yep, this is the very beginning of my very own blog. It's kind of a New Year/new start thing... even though it's February 2nd. :) I'm doing this blog to chronicle life, love, events, and my passion... scrapbooking! It will also be a great way for me to keep up with my journaling for incorporating into my scrapbooks later. Enjoy!
